Kodak training solutions include tools for self-assessment within the regions for both existing employees and new hires. The skill set hired, defines the training path. For example, if a young digitally capable person is hired, the bulk of their training will focus on photographic processes. Each employee completes a capabilities assessment and through a variety of "off the shelf" and product specific programs he or she is trained for top performance. Much of the core curriculum is e learning or self-study and based on field experiences. Classroom training is reserved for hands-on product experiences and opportunities to practice communication skills and share best practices with colleagues.
